Information Gathering
This stage is one of, if not the most the important step in our web design process. Our team will work closely with you to learn your business needs and establish goals and requirements for your online effort. In order to create a website that effectively benefits your business, we have to gain a good understanding your needs and goals, and establish how we can use the web to achieve them. A major part of this process is determining what technologies to use in the creation of the website. We will ask you a lot of questions: What is the purpose the website? What do you hope to accomplish with the website? What kind of content (text, images, videos, etc.) are you publishing? Do you want to sell products online, or use the website to generate sales leads for follow up?
Conceptualization & Planning
Together, we will establish a plan for the website, setting goals to maximize your online effort. A site map will be created to lay out the website content and structure, as well as map how users will navigate and interact with the website. The site map will act as a blueprint for our designers and developers throughout the web design process. To design the visual layout of the website, wireframes and high fidelity mockups will follow the sitemap for your approval.
Development
In the development phase we take everything we have established during the planning phase and code the functional website. During this phase, we will choose or create a content management system that will enable you to edit your website copy easily, without any programming knowledge. We develop our websites using the latest and greatest technology, including HTML5, CSS3, and jQuery. We write code that complies to web standards, and maximizes accessibility across desktop and mobile platforms.
Quality Assurance
At this point, the website will have been created and ready for testing. We will go over the website and content with you to ensure it has met the goals outlined in the planning phase. We will test the website in modern browsers for both Windows, Mac OS, and Linux operating systems, as well as mobile platforms including Android, iPhone, and Blackberry. One you have given us final approval, we will flip the switch and place your new website live on the internet!
